Large koi carp swim across a charcoal-black ground, drawn in bold linocut-style outlines with dusky pink scale detailing and dark eyes. Blue-grey and plum lily pads fill the spaces between the fish, giving the whole design a woodblock-print character. The scale is large and the layout dense, making it a strong feature paper rather than a background pattern.
