A soft grey ground is overlaid with slightly irregular, hand-drawn looking lines forming an open plaid or check grid, some doubled or tripled into narrow bands. The wavering quality of the lines gives it a relaxed, sketched feel rather than a crisp geometric grid, with a lightly textured, papery ground beneath.
